The authorities of Mar del Plata and Batán have taken preventive measures, announcing the suspension of classes and events in the city. The Secretary of Security, Rodrigo Goncalvez, confirmed the suspension of educational activities until Monday, as well as the cancellation of mass events and sporting activities starting this Friday afternoon.

Owners of shops and businesses are advised to secure their facilities to prevent damage from the strong gusts of wind.
